Work Experience and University Student Placements

Mousetrap Theatre Projects has a number of work experience and university student placement opportunities over the course of the year.

Typically we provide office, administrative work experience which takes place over two weeks for secondary school students aged 16+ or for university student placements this can be for a longer period, usually 3 months, 3 days per week. The timing and duration of these short term positions can be negotiated. We try to remain as flexible to your needs as possible.

Unfortunately Mousetrap cannot offer internships as we are not in the financial position to pay these positions. However there is usually the opportunity to accompany a group to the theatre and we are happy to provide students with a reference at the end.

Please note: Due to insurance we cannot offer placements to those under 16.

If you would like to apply for work experience with us, please send a CV and covering email explaining when and why you would like to undertake work experience with us Mousetrap Theatre Projects.  Please address and send your applicagion to our Director, Susan Whiddington at This email address is being protected from spambots. Placements are limited so please apply with plenty of notice.  Particularly in the summer, as student places can get booked up 6 months in advance.  We will then contact you to confirm and can arrange an informal interview beforehand if required.  Read our Student Handbook to find out more about what to expect when you work with us.

Please note: Our next available placements are from January 2019 onwards; ideally with an education or/and SEND focus.
