SummerStage 2019

Our low-cost Performing Arts summer school is back!

As ever, we’re offering 2 x low-cost courses for ages 13 to 17.  Led-by our friendly expert practitioners, both SummerStage courses will see participants create an original piece of theatre over the course of 5 days – and both will include a trip to see a West End show!

Each 1 week course costs just £60 per participant and this includes:

5 days worth of expert-led workshops

5 x lunches

A ticket to see a West End show (with the rest of the group)

We also have 4 scholarship places available, please indicate on your application if you would like to be considered for one of these.

Please note: Applications must be completed by a Parent / Guardian on behalf of young participants.

Deadline for applications: Friday 7th June 2019

Venue: The Forum Hall of Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, 235 Shaftesbury Avenue, LONDON, WC2 H8EP

SummerStage Inclusive: Week 1

Monday 29th July – Friday 2nd August: 10-4pm

Designed for: Young people who are brand-new to taking part in drama projects and want to try it out in a fun and supportive environment. We welcome young people who might have mild-moderate learning needs or require special access arrangements.

Key outcomes: Over the course the week, participants will gain valuable experience of performing and focus on developing skills such as confidence, creativity and communication.

SummerStage Young Performers: Week 2

Monday 5th August - Friday 9th August, 10-4pm

Designed for: Those with a bit more experience who are wanting to develop their performance skills – e.g. those who have taken part in school plays, one of our projects or are a member of a theatre club.

Key outcomes: During this SummerStage week participants will work on developing professional performing skills, as well as have the chance to gain a Bronze Arts Award to add to their CV.

It was amazing! You can come not knowing anyone but make friends with everyone really quickly. You learn new things and performing skills and have fun on stage!

Summer Stage is a wonderfully organised, unique experience. It was great seeing my son’s confidence grow over the week, he learnt so much and was so excited and proud of his performance.
