About the Mousetrap Awards

Now in its 8th successive year, The Mousetrap Awards are the UK's only theatre awards voted for by young people aged 15-29.  The Awards are run from start to finish by our Youth Forum, who do everything from choosing the categories and nominees, to organising and hosting the ceremony itself.

This year’s nominees range from Everybody's Talking About Jamie to The Jungle, Heathers to Hamilton: and we’ve got some fun new categories too, including Show With The Most Emo and Watch This Face!  For the first time, we’ll also present a Special Recognition Award for contribution to theatre, to highlight some of the pioneering work being done within the industry.
