Rockin’ Out for our Relaxed Performance!

On Monday 20th January, 257 families came together at the Gillian Lynne Theatre for our 10th annual Relaxed Performance. Families came from 30 London boroughs and 39 of the 48 English counties to watch School of Rock in a special, sold-out performance. 319 children with additional needs (plus 154 siblings) rocked out together to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s brilliant songs and united to ‘stick it to the man’!

Before the performance, we held 3 family workshops to help bring the show to life. We dressed up like rock stars, learned songs from the show, and even formed our own bands!

It was all hands on deck to ensure the smooth running of the event. The Mousetrap team were joined by members of our Youth Forum, volunteers from our corporate supporter Brown Rudnick, and staff at the Gillian Lynne Theatre. We were also joined by VIP guests including Autism spokesperson and influencer, Connor Ward, Sign Language vlogger Isabella Evans, and our fabulous Patron Tyrone Huntley!

The night ended on a high, with the whole auditorium singing ‘Stick it to the Man’ together! After the performance, families relished the chance to pose for photos with the cast. Thank you everyone who joined us to make this a night to remember. Rock on!!
